Pop standouts Alex Warren and ROSÉ exhibit chemistry on “On My Mind,” a single from Warren’s debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid.
“Maybe it’s the way the clouds are painted / A perfect shade of yellow all across the sky.” It is his time. Alex Warren is experiencing a breakthrough year in 2025. Continuing to build on his success, Warren collaborates with K-pop standout ROSÉ (Roseanne Park) in the single, “On My Mind”. “On My Mind” is the 11th track from his debut album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, released in July 2025. Warren co-wrote with many songwriters, including producers Ammo and John Ryan.
Warren draws first blood, performing the first verse, chorus, and post-chorus. “Hidden underneath the floor / In the attic of my dreams there’s somebody I adore,” he proclaims in the first verse. The chorus, excerpted earlier, is the centerpiece, with Alex continuing, singing, “Maybe it’s the way the times are changin’ / And I’m stuck in the middle, frozen in a fire / But, baby, you’re on my mind.” ROSÉ enters the fray in the second verse. Interestingly, she takes the opposite approach: “In the basement of my dreams there’s somebody I ignore / Yeah, I’m a fool, don’t be surprised / I don’t ever think about you at all.” Ooh-wee! She sings alongside Warren in the second chorus. Likewise, they join forces on the bridge (“You showed up, gracefully and casually / Our love was what it had to be”). For the first time, ROSÉ sings with Alex in the final post-chorus, with the duo concluding “On My Mind” with the sung phrase, “Baby, you’re on my mind.” Ultimately, “On My Mind” is an entertaining, well-rounded duet between two talented artists. Both sing well. Alex has a powerful instrument in his hands, while ROSÉ sings angelically. The melodies are tuneful, the songwriting memorable, and the sound is, fittingly, sound. Game-changing it isn’t, but this song continues a fine year for both artists.
