Ah, bring on Midnight Heat 🕛 🔥! Wait – it is not usually hot at midnight! Well, it is steaming hot 🥵 at midnight when it comes to this naughty, innuendo, and sex-laden column featuring songs intended for nighttime. These risqué, unapologetic records often raise eyebrows and temperature alike. In the 54th edition of Midnight Heat (2025), we explore the naughty, sexy vibes behind LEFTRIGHT” by Lizzo.

Lizzo, MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING [📷: Nice Life Recording Company / Atlantic Recording Corporation]“Go left, go right / Go left, right, left, right / My back is achin’, my belt too tight / My booty shakin’ from left to right.” Oh, snap, Lizzo (Melissa Jefferson)!  Lizzo gives us a booty-shaking, sexed-up rap banger with “LEFTRIGHT”.  How many fuhs does ‘Lizzy’ give? Zero! In the fifth track from her surprise rap mixtape, MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING, she informed us, rather, the men chasing her, that they “STILL CANT FUH”.  Here, there seems to be more fuh-ing.  Sure, it’s on her terms, but, she provides details of how it’s going down (more on that later)! Lizzo co-wrote “LEFTRIGHT” with Pop Wansel, and John Morris. Wansel and Ricky Reed produced.

In the second verse, our self-described baddie continues her badass ways. She’s outside with her gay sons 🌈 and thot daughters, after all! She’s bad because, “Bitch, I’m from Texas.” This badness – horniness and freakiness – finds her rapping, “Take me back to coochie cutters at the Freaknik / I can throw some ass and make a nigga sea sick / I can feel I through the boxers, baby, it’s big.” Holy shit, I mean, holy dick! Earlier, I mentioned that Lizzo provided details regarding the sexual experience.  We finally get it in the outro!

“I’ma work them cheeks, left, right

Goddamn, daddy, left, right

Up, down, up, down, left right

You would be mad if I left, right?”

Ooh-wee! Over a minimalist but potent backdrop, Lizzo puts in some serious work on “LEFTRIGHT”. She sho’ moves them cheeks on this two-and-a-half-minute banger.
