A $2.8 billion project is expanding the Orlando International Airport, creating the new South Terminal Complex.

It's hard to resist the allure of Orlando, a city steeped in sunshine and overflowing with theme parks. New attractions continue to pop up across the Central Florida city, and a $605 million expansion of the Orange County Convention Center will get underway in the fall.

The Orlando International Airport is growing. A $2.8 billion project is underway, creating the South Terminal Complex. Expected to open in late 2021, the three-terminal facility will feature 19 new gates that can accommodate at least 24 aircraft and will serve more than 10 million passengers each year.

The JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is set to welcome its first guests in March. The 16-story hotel will offer 516 guest rooms, a nearly 10,000-square-foot spa with 10 treatment rooms, and a rooftop terrace with nightly views of theme-park fireworks. More than 50,000 square feet of event space will be available for groups, including 18 breakout rooms and a 22,000-square-foot ballroom.

Universal Orlando Resort will complete its Endless Summer Resort with the opening Dockside Inn and Suites, adding 2,050 guest rooms. The property was scheduled to open in mid-March but has been postponed with a new opening date to be announced. The resort's sister property Surfside Inn and Suites opened in June 2019 with 750 rooms. With proximity to the Convention District, the resort is ideal for citywide convention needs
