In time for the opening of ski season, the 436-room Grand Hyatt Deer Valley began welcoming guests on Nov. 20. The resort anchors the new Deer Valley East Village, which is set against a backdrop of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains.
The new resort provides ski-in, ski-out access to Deer Valley Resort, including 300+ new skiable acres, 20 debut runs and three new chairlifts.
"Grand Hyatt Deer Valley proudly welcomes visitors and the local community to experience this transformative moment for both the ski industry and the region," said Anthony Duggan, area vice president and general manager of the hotel. "We’re committed to continuing to foster connections with local businesses and organizations, and together, we'll offer our guests truly authentic experiences that highlight the best our destination has to offer — from premium accommodations to exceptional dining and unforgettable outdoor adventures."

The resort's 381 spacious, luxurious guest rooms feature views of the iconic Rocky Mountains, the Heber Valley and the Jordanelle Reservoir. Designed by Denver-based OZ Architecture, the hotel draws inspiration from the region's rich mining history and nearby Wasatch Mountains, incorporating a mix of materials, including metals and stone. Modern mountain design and spa-inspired bathrooms give guests a comfortable retreat from the endless adventures that await them outside. The 55 residential suites offer the added luxury of balconies, kitchenettes and fireplaces. All rooms are equipped with 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Nespresso coffee makers, blackout curtains, individual climate controls, bathrobes and minifridges.
Amenities outside of the guest rooms include a heated outdoor pool, three oversized hot tubs and a spacious pool deck, all looking out on the mountains. A lively nighttime entertainment program helps visitors wind down in the evenings.
The Spa at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley will open next year and will offer Haman-inspired holistic rituals and eastern-inspired services.
Dining in
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley's distinct culinary concepts aim to elevate Park City's dining scene. The team brings an innovative, Utah-forward experience to the resort, supporting local farmers, businesses and families.
Remington Hall focuses on American cuising, offering all three meals alongside views of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Standout dishes include innovative takes on the classics, such as bison tartare with cured egg yolk and truffle aioli, and wild boar bolognese with gnocchi, ricotta salata and aged balsamic. The Lounge at Remington Hall features lunch and après-ski programming, including an adjacent sports room. The lounge offers elevated bar bites, such as brie and cheddar fondue, and caramelized onion dip served with chips and caviar.
The speakeasy-style Hidden Ace offers a curated selection of rustic whisky cocktails, including the Western Whistle made with Alpine Bourbon, apple liqueur, chamomile cordial, fresh lemon juice and egg white. Small bites also are the menu here, such as fondue made with local cheeses and the artisanal hot dog. Live music and DJ sets provide entertainment for this intimate setting.
For a family-friendly après-ski spot, guest can hang in the Living Room, which is anchored by a grand fireplace. Order the "High Chocolate" — a tea-service-type experience with tiered trays offering both sweet and savory delights. Rich, artisanal hot chocolates are served alongside s’mores cookies, chocolate snowballs and gooey baked treats.
Double Blacks coffee shop powers guests with Park City Coffee Roasters' selections and fresh bakery treats, such as house-made croissants, cacio e pepe rolls, beef bone broth consommé, and dirty sodas, a Utah favorite made with soda, cream and flavored syrups.
As the groups gather
With nearly 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space — including a grand 10,000-square-foot ballroom — the hotel offers state-of-the-art facilities for meetings and events. In-house audiovisual support is available, along with custom digital signage, and a garage-style entrance for large displays and vehicles.
Ski support
Grand Hyatt Deer Valley offers an on-site skier-services desk in collaboration with Deer Valley, and partners with Ski Butlers for a white-glove valet and ski-and-snowboard rental experience. The resort's retail store is stocked with the latest gear from Helly Hansen.
